Monterrey, Mexico

The third edition of LACAR was  held virtually  and supported by the Tecnológico de Monterrey online platform, between November 17-19, 2021. LACAR 2021 included many activities related with the Automation & Robotics such as: keynotes, conferences, workshops and tutorials.

As a product of the third edition a book including the proceedings of the congress was published in the prestigious editorial Springer.

This book presents recent advances in the modeling, design, control, and development of autonomous and robotic systems and explores current exciting applications and future challenges of these technologies.

The scope of this book covers a wide range of research fields associated with automation and robotics encountered within engineering, scientific research, and practice. These topics are related to autonomous systems, industrial automation and robotics, modelling and systems identification, simulation procedures and experimental validations, control theory, artificial intelligence,  computer vision, sensing and sensor fusion, multi-robot and multi-agent systems,   field and service robotics, human robot interaction and interfaces,  modelling of robotic systems,  and the design of new robotic platforms.

The Second Edition of LACAR was be held at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Cali, Colombia between 30 october to 1 november of 2019. LACAR 2019 included many activities related with the Automation & Robotics such as: conferences, workshops, tutorials and contest.

Panama City

The first edition of LACAR was held at the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá (UTP), Panama City in 2017. The congress included different research areas such as control algorithms, systems automation, perception, mobile robotics, computer vision, educational robotics, robotics modeling and simulation, and robotics and mechanism design. Main workshops was topics related to automation and robotics research in Latin American, the collaboration between research groups, development of low-cost robotic systems and disaster risk management.
